How often do you think about your breath?  For many of us the answer is probably not that often.  I challenge you to put your attention on your breath at least once every day.

  • Notice what happens when you take 3 deep breaths that start from your belly. 
  • Notice what happens if you hold your breath for 15 seconds. 
  • Notice what happens to your breath when you exercise. 
  • Notice your breath when you feel anxious or irritated.

Personally, I do 5 rounds of purposeful deep breathing before I get on stage to speak. My nerves subside and my mind feels crystal clear. It makes for a much more impactful presentation. Your breath can help increase physical energy, improve mental clarity, and emotional stability.

Leaders who harness the power of their breath will stay calm amidst the chaos.
